The public is invited to attend a retirement party held for longtime Leelanau Township Treasurer Denise Dunn on Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Northport Creek Golf Course Clubhouse. Dunn wrapped up her 28-year-long tenure in the position in November. Fire Chief Hugh Cook, who is helping to organize the event, said he expects anywhere from 50-60 people to celebrate Dunn and her contributions to the community. “After 28 years of dedicated service, Denise deserves a retirement party in her honor,” Cook said.
