To the editor:
A majority of Americans think all should have health care. The hold-ups are obvious and simple : REPUBLICANS. It can’t be reality without legislation that has always been a Democratic Party goal with Republicans blocking any such thing. Lobbyists representing big med and big pharma completely dictate the results never to benefit our people . Our politicians receive health care paid by their salaries from us so the callousness is maddening.
The voters obviously select them so they ensure more footdragging. It would seem Republican business principles would welcome Medicare for all since it would bottom line cut the cost of doing business. Healthcare needn’t be a for profit industry. We have the resources to insure citizens are no longer bankrupted by catastrophic misfortune.
We do claim to be a Christian nation, right ?
