To the editor:
Thanks and congratulations to the Suttons Bay Art Festival committee for their many years of hard work and dedication to a truly wonderful event. They have handed over the reins to the Crooked Tree Arts Council, such a good move to ensure the continuity and the quality of the SB Art Festival. Since 1980 we have been inspired and captivated by generations of artists and their beautiful work. We enjoyed Sunday breakfast in the marina with the best pancakes on the planet and music by some talented young folks who later got famous. The proceeds of the show have been entirely donated to the community, benefi ting the village and Suttons Bay Schools, the county-wide art publication Exposures, and muchmore. Tothecommittee members and scores of volunteers who have worked hard through the years to make the show the best - Job well done! A special shoutout to Bob Bahle and Tom Woodruff who thought it all up in the first place, then rounded up a bunch of friends to help, and made it happen!
