To the editor:
If, as I suspect, Olivia Raftshol’s letter last week claiming happy days are here again, is referring to the first convicted felon being sworn in as our president, one must wonder what she is celebrating this past week.
Maybe the pardoning of violent criminals that attacked the capitol police? Or perhaps that we now have an unqualified person as secretary of defense who loves to get drunk and abuse women? Or Olivia may be giddy that all federal medical research has come to a halt? Could it be that now insulin will cost more than $35? Or maybe it’s the Afghan refugees who assisted our war effort who passed the long vetting process and were awaiting flights that are now canceled?
It couldn’t be the bishop receiving death threats for speaking the Christian truth in her church?
So many more things to choose from or maybe it’s the price of eggs?
