To the editor:
As an RN I have, on occasion, been confronted by aggressive patients; but nothing like our deputies have to deal with perhaps daily. They deserve our best support.
Up until recently I thought they were led and protected by a competent sheriff. But that changed when I saw him standing next to felon Trump who sent an angry crowd to attack and kill Capitol police, who then pardoned these murderers.
This was a cruel betrayal of our deputies; and now our disgraced sheriff wants them to act as ICE agenda as part of Trump’s “revenge” pulling them away from protecting us.
The sheriff needs to have his duties reassigned to someone competent till he can be replaced.
