Glen Lake, Suttons Bay down Eagles

Glen Lake boys basketball defeated Lake Leelanau St. Mary Thursday 51-34.

The Eagles trailed by only three points heading into the fourth quarter, but the Lakers pulled away in the fourth to win the close game.

Glen Lake junior Jacob Plamondon had 13 points and 10 rebounds; Benji Allen had 10 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists; Colebrook Sutherland had 7 points.

The Eagles were led by Josh Bunek 10 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals; Luke Bramer 9 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists; James Bunek 6 points.

The Eagles fell to Suttons Bay 46-38 in the second game of a back-to-back Friday.

Niko Franco led with 14 points and 4 rebounds, followed by Grayson Opie with 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Urijah TwoCrow had 9 points, 3 steals, and 4 assists. Austin Vang chipped in 8 points, 3 steals, and 5 assists.

The Eagles play against Leland on Wednesday in a district semifinal. As of press time yesterday, Glen Lake battles TC St. Francis in a district semifinal.
