The season came to an end for the Glen Lake boys basketball team on Thursday, as they lost 62-41 to Ishpeming Westwood in Sault Ste. Marie during an MHSAA Div. 3 regional final Thursday.
“This year’s group, how they came to work every day, giving 110% effort, and how we bonded and connected outside of practice and basketball. I’m really going to miss that,” Glen Lake senior guard Benji Allen said. “A lot of people say don’t look past this time and make every moment count, and at first, you kind of ignore that, but it does go by really fast. The younger guys know to go hard every day in practice and never wish you were somewhere else because these times really go by fast.”
Glen Lake ended its season with a 23-2 overall record.
