To the Editor:
I receive Congressman Jack Bergman’s press releases so that I know what he is up to. He is currently working on saving rural post offices. Meanwhile, our democracy is in tatters as Trump and Musk flail away at our U.S. Constitution and our federal government. A student with a Green Card who was LEGALLY protesting on the Columbia campus (no violence involved) is being held in jail in Florida. Federal employees responsible for nuclear weapons and facilities are fired willynilly. Airport controllers are being dismissed as near misses and plane crashes mount. The Environmental Protection Agency and FEMA are under attack as tornados rip through the Midwest and the South.
Bergman needs to remove his blindfold and ear plugs.
