Patty and Jeff Brandt and their daughter, Katie Brandt, are excited to announce that they are the new owners of Synchronicity Gallery in Glen Arbor. Synchronicity Gallery is one of the most treasured and respected galleries in northern Michigan. But let’s start at the beginning. The Brandts’ new adventure all started with a lifelong love of Glen Arbor. Patty and her family have been coming to Glen Arbor since the 1960’s. When she met Jeff, she introduced him to the area and Jeff was immediately hooked as well. In fact, they became engaged at Pyramid Point.
In 2019, Jeff and Patty bought a house in Glen Arbor as they knew they eventually wanted to make Glen Arbor their permanent home. Jeff and Patty always knew that they wanted to find a way to be part of the local business community as well. So a few years ago, they began keeping an eye out for potential local business opportunities. When they found out that Dave Thomasma was interested in selling Synchronicity, it was the perfect opportunity. Jeff has a history of owning small businesses and Patty has a creative streak and a love of the arts. They mentioned it to their daughter, Katie, who has a strong background in the hospitality industry, and she jumped in with both feet.
The Brandts decided to take the first step of speaking with Dave in 2023 and that started a wonderful friendship that has blossomed over the past two years.
