The sports drought is almost over, as spring sports are set to begin the second and third week of April.
That’s, of course, if the weather cooperates.
In the meantime, spring break is commencing across county schools.
Baseball, softball, and girls soccer previews will be released over the next two weeks as golf and track will follow.

Glen Lake is sporting a girl’s tennis team this spring for the first time in years.
“Any girl who wants to learn the sport is welcome to join the team. So far, we have roughly 9 matches scheduled for this spring. It should be a lot of fun,” Glen Lake girls tennis coach Erin Mitchell said in a newsletter.
