The Leelanau Historical Society has plans for new and returning events scheduled to begin in May.
These include:
• “A Search for Anna & Levi: A lost History of Black Homesteaders in Leelanau County” premiere May 31.
• Member Appreciating Party returns June 17.
The party, underwritten by the Reahard Family, featuring the debut of “Life on Lake Leelanau: Ripples Through Time,” a companion to the group’s award-winning documentary.
• A Summer Lecture by Executive Director Kim Kelderhouse, titled “Clue, Tidbits, and Surprises in Research Leelanau History,” July 24.
• Twentieth Anniversary Golfathon, Sept. 2.
• Annual Membership Meeting, Oct. 5 at Camp Kohahna.
