Houtteman continues dominance
Leland edged out Glen Lake by a single stroke during a Northwest Conference match on Wednesday at Arcadia Bluffs.
Sophomore Hayden VanSteenhouse from Leland showcased his skills with five birdies, achieving an individual victory with a score of 73 on the par-72 course. Howie Kropp from Leland secured a tie for ninth place, while his teammates included Liam Waskiewicz in 12th (91), Max Waldrup in 14th (95), and Colby Connor in a tie for 17th (102).
Top 10 finishers included: 2. Michael Houtteman (Glen Lake) with a score of 75; 3. Christien Westcott (Benzie) at 76; 4. Cash Rosum (Frankfort) with an 81; 5. Carson Bradford (Onekama) at 84;6.CadenBradford(Onekama) scoring 85; 7. Jayden Carver (Frankfort) with an 86; 8. Ben Romzek (Glen Lake) at 87; and tied for 9th, Rowan Zickert (Benzie) with an 88.
Houtteman finished fourth at a Traverse City Junior Golf Association during a Sunday-Monday tournament at Arcadia Bluffs.
