To the editor:
Open letter to Suttons Bay School Board: We just received our absentee ballots for the upcoming mileage election. We are thoroughly confused. Less than a year ago we approved an $18.3 million millage to do many of the things that are outlined in the current request. As I went back and reread the articles regarding last year’s millage, it appears that most everything you’re asking for now was covered in that millage.
Please share with me and other taxpayers, a spreadsheet, showing how the dollars of the last mileage will be used and how the dollars from this mileage will be used.
Without an understanding like this it’s very difficult to support this millage renewal.
