Garlic mustard is on the Northwest Michigan Invasive Species Network Top 12 list of invasive species and presents a high risk to our regional ecology.
To assist Village residents in removing this plant from their yards and gardens (and maybe around the Village), the Village has rented a garlic mustard disposal bin for the season.
To remove garlic mustard, use gloves, pull from the root and place in a garbage bag.
You may drop off those garbage bags of pulled plants in the GFL green dumpster located behind the DPW Garage at 11518 S. LaCore.
This dumpster is for the use of BAGGED Garlic Mustard ONLY and will be labeled as such.
