Congratulations!

To the editor:

Big congratulations to superintendent Neil Wetherbee and ALL the dedicated teachers at Northport Public Schools for their high rank among Michigan schools: 26th overall best school out of 2,188 schools and among rural public schools, 8th place out of 598! Such good news for Northport families!

Doing their best for all students rather than simply “teaching to the test” is clearly paying off. Northport also continues to add new possibilities for students. This year saw the launch of a mentoring program for students in middle and high school, as well as a newly established drama program.
