Just over $2,200 in raises were included in salary resolutions adopted last month by the Bingham Township Board.
Unlike other townships in the county whose fiscal year begins April 1, Bingham Township’s budget year runs from July 1 through June 30.
Across the board increases of 2.4% were included in separate resolutions.
As proposed, compensation for the supervisor would go from $19,820 to $20,328; clerk, from $30,110 to $30,882; and treasurer, $31,066 to $31,862.
Also approved was a resolution for trustee salaries. As proposed, the trustee salaries will go from $5,030 to $5,159 or $2,579 each.
These figures do not include per diems.
The township board will consider these resolutions and the proposed budget for 2025-26 at 5 p.m., during a special meeting, prior to the board’s regular monthly meeting June 3.
In a recent development, the board accepted the resignation of Sandra Grant as township treasurer. Board members appointed Mary Ann Korson, who had been serving as deputy treasurer to Grant.
Korson will have to run for the remainder of Grant’s unexpired term in November 2026.
