The Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes are kicking off the summer season with its volunteer training on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Glen Arbor Town Hall.
Anyone interested in helping the Friends support the park is welcome to attend and learn about volunteer opportunities. Attendees will also hear directly from Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore rangers and staff about what’s ahead for the park this year.
Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes program managers will be on hand to answer questions about volunteer opportunities for specific programs such as our Track Chair, Preventative Search and Rescue (PSAR), Adopt-A-River and Trail Ambassador programs.
