Eleven students and parent chaperones, along with advisor Mary Ann Korson, attended the National Business Professionals of America (BPA) Conference in Orlando, Florida.
The Podcast production team, comprised of freshman, Claire Couturier; senior, Jacqueline Hearne, and senior, Cathryn Mikowski, earned a first-place finish for their podcast titled “Sprouting Simplicity.”
The podcast addresses the impact of social media trends, emphasizing how individuals can create a balanced relationship with digital platforms and use them with intention, rather than letting them consume their lives. The podcast, which is under five minutes, was created with a natural, scripted style per BPA guidelines.
Other St. Mary students earned recognition as well. Seventh graders, Hope Bunek, Elizabeth Jelinek, Liberty Schaub and Emery Wichern, earned fourth place for their website design. Senior Anthony Grant, placed 10th in banking and finance.
