Drowning puts safety in focus

The first county drowning of 2025 was recorded over the weekend at the Suttons Bay Marina.

The victim, a 66-year-old Traverse City man, is believed to have fallen off the dock late Saturday night, early Sunday morning.

Silence. The cause of the incident remains under investigation. But it’s a good time to talk about water safety.
