Board eyes child fund balance

The county’s Early Childhood program could be expanded to offer more than Parenting Communities.

County commissioners Tuesday discussed a proposal from District 3 commissioner Will Bunek to expand the program, which is funded from the only extra-voted millage for early childhood services in the state.

“We should get more children involved,” said Bunek in an apparent reversal of position. “The more children we help, the better.”
