The Most Scenic Blood Drive Anywhere returns to the Northport Village Marina this coming Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 pm. As a bone marrow cancer survivor, I cannot donate, but I can share how vital blood donors are when injury or illness make blood transfusions essential. The Village Voices of Northport Community Choir will present “Voices of America” for their annual summer concert this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Northport Performing Arts Center auditorium. The concert will celebrate American composers and American stories, featuring music from Gershwin to Bob Dylan to Moses Hogan, singing traditional American tunes, soulful selections, and modern pieces.
Tickets for this concert are $15 for adults, $5 for students (including college), and Northport Public School students are free. You can purchase tickets by visiting northportperformingarts. org or call the office at 231-386-2009. Tickets will also be available at the door one hour prior to start.
