Hearing set on interlocal agreement

Four Township Fire/ Emergency Department and speed studies conducted in the township, were among topics discussed at the June 10 meeting of the Cleveland Township Board.

The board discussed an update from John Gordon, a representative from the Cedar Area Fire and Rescue Board. Gordon reported that an architect for Kasson Township has presented design schematics for the new station, planned near the intersection of M-72 and Maple City Road.

“It’s largely conceptual at this point,” he said. “I had asked for that presentation because the board is responsible for signing off on all specifications… It was a good presentation, still very preliminary.”
