The Glen Arbor Arts Center (GACC) is hosting the Kodak Quartet this week as a part of the Sound Garden Project. The Sound Garden was created in partnership between the GAAC’s Manitou Music Series and Interlochen Public Radio (IPR). This project is aimed at beginning classical music in unexpected areas.

This will be the fourth year in which Glen Arbor will have the Sound Garden in residency, which underscores the GAAC’s commitment to making the arts accessible, immersive, and community- centered.

“Music has the magical ability to transform any space and gather people from all backgrounds together. Traditional concerts ask people to come to the musicians, but the Sound Garden Project starts by going where people already are and creating connections,” said IPR’s Matthew Schlomer, the artistic director of the Sound Garden Project.
