Glen Lake graduate competed in the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association hosted at Lawrence Tech Saturday, June 21 against the best high school football players across the state.
“I’m very thankful to have been invited to the All-Star game. I thought it was super cool to play against athletes from all divisions across the state and to see the variety of talent Michigan has to offer. It was also really rewarding to see how I could compete as a Div. 8 kid from northern Michigan against players from much larger schools— especially before heading off to college,” Allen said. “My favorite part of the All-Star experience was probably the practices. We got to go one-on-one, compete hard, and showcase our skills in a high-energy environment. But just as important was how quickly we meshed as a team, came together, and worked toward the goal of winning a football game on Saturday night.”
The west team, which Allen was apart of won the game 35-13.
