‘By-The-Bay Garden Club’ plants pollinator pots

Two flower pots filled with plants aimed to attract pollinators like bees and butterflies can now be found in the village of Suttons Bay.

Different from the geraniumfilled pots placed throughout downtown, the two pollinator planters on N. St. Joseph Street is something new that members with By-The-Bay Garden Club are trying this year. Within the two planters, people will find a small sign with a QR code to report how many pollinators they counted on the plants in the pots, ultimately contributing to efforts of tracking the health of the pollinator population in Leelanau County.
