Housing issues aired at committtee meeting

Affordable housing and the lack thereof was front and center this week at a meeting of the county Building Safety committee.

T he committee, which hadn’t met for more than a year, gathered Monday at the request of District 5 Commissioner Alan Campbell.

Campbell asked that the committee take a look at building permit fees and whether reducing these would have a favorable impact on home construction.
