Kudos to writer

To the editor:

I was pleasantly surprised when I read Brian Freiberger’s editorial titled “Say No To Another War” in this week’s Leelanau Enterprise. I was surprised that the Enterprise printed his honest critique of Rep. Jack Bergman, who delights in backing Trump 100% of the time, even though most of what Trump does is either illegal (38 courts have said so) or against the interests of Michigan’s 1st District (cuts to Medicare, eliminate the ACA, eliminate medical research, etc.).

Mr. Freiberger is correct — Bergman is cow-towing to the military-industrial complex that financed his campaigns and is more than willing to send American soldiers into battle for the sake of Trump’s ego and the money that war brings to his backers.
