After a Cherry Industry Administrative Board (CIAB) meeting last week, Leelanau County could have the smallest harvest of cherries in recent memory.
“Crop variable south of Suttons Bay is lighter, and the crop will most likely be heavier north of Suttons Bay. There is going to be a lot of variability,” Cherry Marketing Institute Chairwoman Emily Miezio said.
