When Alyssa and Matt McKelvey got married last September, they already knew foster care would be a part of their future. It was a commitment they discussed early in their relationship —one rooted in family history and a shared passion for caring for children.

“My grandparents were foster parents who adopted three children,” Alyssa shares. “That planted the seed in me early. When Matt and I met, it was something I brought up right away.”
