The Aspen House, a business focused on offering its members a coworking and childcare space, held a ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration on Monday at its new location on 73 W. 4th Street in Suttons Bay.
A concept in the making since early 2024, the Aspen House is a “family forward daily retreat that empowers parents through connections to each other, supportive caregivers, providers, and community builders.” It’s aimed to be a go-to space for those that need to work and find a safe place for their young children, as the business offers onsite flexible hourly childcare and essentially serves as a “home away from home.”
Open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the business also offers communal rooms, quiet focus rooms, a dedicated private call space, and other amenities you’d expect to find from a coworking space. The childcare services primarily serve infants and toddlers ages three months to four-yearsold, while parents must remain on-site for the duration of the childcare.
