Leelanau County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to the TART Trail crossing on S. Center Hwy, north of Donner Road for a report of a deadly vehicle and bicyclist accident Sunday at 5:55 p.m.
The vehicle was driven by a 38 year-old Suttons Bay woman and the bicyclist has been identified as Trenton resident Daniel Michael O’Brien II.
“The cyclist is David Michael O’Brien II and he was my fiancé and the father of my unborn child. He was always extremely careful when riding. He just proposed to me the day before and he was an amazing man,” Stephanie Rose commented on a Facebook post by the Leelanau County Sheriff’s department announcing the incident.
