The US Army Corp of Engineers has fast-tracked the Line 5 tunnel review under Trump’s declared “energy emergency” despite its 6/23/2021 commitment to “ensure all potential impacts and reasonable alternatives..are thoroughly analyzed.”
USACE didn’t consider reasonable alternatives, but began by assuming Line 5 was needed. It asked HOW should oil go through the Great Lakes, not SHOULD oil go through the Great Lakes?
