Debby and I attended the Antiques Roadshow taping at Castle Farm in Charlevoix on July 1, and a special reception on the evening before where we had a chance to meet a number of the appraisers. This was the fifth and final show of their 30th season. It was something we had wanted to do for many years, and it was great news when we discovered that they would be so close.

Their website had a form you could submit to enter a sweepstakes to win two tickets to the Roadshow, which we promptly did last winter. It also had information about an Early Bird entry where you could send in pictures and descriptions of up to two items for AR to review and possibly select. We never got around to that.

Then, in mid-April, we watched a fundraising special on WCMU that featured Antiques Roadshow. One of the “thank you” gifts for a donation was two tickets to the Roadshow and two tickets to the special reception. We were more than happy to donate.
