St. Peter’s Chapel, Leland, hosted a Ladies Social Night on July 10, 2025 to benefit a key local partner, Leelanau Christian Neighbors (LCN).
Over forty women met to assemble much needed personal care kits for LCN. Mary Stanton, Executive Director of LCN commented “Due to the increased demand for food, we’ve had to eliminate supplying basic personal care items like deodorant and soap for our clients. Having these kits stocked with full sized hygiene items is a wonderful addition to our offerings. Thank you to the women of St. Peter’s Chapel for creating one-hundred of these generous and thoughtful personal care kits.”
Each kit, packed in a large carry bag, contains seven products: Shampoo, Lotion, Body Wash, Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Deodorant and a Washcloth. The women of St. Peter’s Chapel donated the items, and then during the fellowship event, used a “buffet style” assembly line to carefully fill each kit with the full-sized hygiene items.
