A letter from Leland Public School’s new superintendent to parents and students hasn’t gone over well with some members of the public. Stephanie Long, who began her new job July 1, is being taken to task for the letter in which she shares her position regarding protests and demonstrations that have been occurring throughout the country the last several weeks. *** Legal action against the owner of Sugar Loaf Resort is now pending under Cleveland Township’s “blight ordinance.” At its regular monthly meeting Tuesday evening, the Cleveland Township Board voted unanimously to direct township supervisor Tim Stein to work with a township attorney to begin levying fines and take the first steps toward obtaining a court order to demolish the derelict ski resort.
