Work progresses at G-L School

In the first regular board meeting of the new fiscal year, Glen Lake Community Schools discussed construction updates and provided insight on multiple properties that were donated to the school through the Schulz family.

Superintendent Jason Misner updated board members during Monday’s regular meeting.

Construction continues at the Leelanau County’s biggest school with minor hiccups in the placement of hallway tiles. There is an abatement process starting to mitigate asbestos. There has been multiple adhesion issues before laying the floor as well in the auditeria. Duct work is ramping up with construction of ceiling starting shortly.
