Protesters rally for Civil Rights, Democracy
On July 17, community members gathered in Northport and Suttons Bay to take part in Good Trouble Lives On, a national day of nonviolent action held on the anniversary of Congressman John Lewis’s passing. Rabbi Dr. Hava Bailey, who organized the Leelanau County events, said the local actions are part of a broader national reckoning.
