On behalf of the Empire Community Center I would like to thank everyone who made the Empire Anchor Days a success! Special thanks to the Leelanau Historical Society and Joe VanderMeulen for presenting the film “The Search for Anna & Levi” on Friday night; to Dave’s Garage Empire for funding the band for the street dance; to the Luke Woltanski Band for providing the music for the street dance; to Grocer’s Daughter for the hot dogs and s’mores; and to everyone who helped block streets, participated in, or came out to watch the “Parade So Nice, It Goes Around Twice”!
