Sleeping Bear Dunes’ star parties and candlelight hikes

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore (SBDNL), known for its beautiful views of Lake Michigan and diverse landscapes, is also known for offering visitors priceless sights of the night sky.

With natural darkness becoming a rare sight due to increasing light pollution, people can take advantage of Sleeping Bear Dunes’ ‘half the park is after dark!” campaign and view the stars in all their glory throughout the year.
