‘The entire team rose to the occasion’

Munson’s response to stabbing:

Munson Healthcare received the call of a mass casualty event Saturday, and immediately all hands were on deck.

“When we received the alert, we were informed that multiple patients with critical stab wounds were en route. It was immediately recognized as a mass casualty incident. Our charge nurse activated our internal disaster response protocol, and leadership quickly mobilized additional support— calling in nurses, techs, surgeons, respiratory therapists, and other essential personnel,” Munson Chief Nursing Officer Tami Putney said. “The team responded with urgency and precision. There was a strong sense of focus and readiness. Everyone understood the gravity of the situation and moved swiftly to prepare trauma bays, organize supplies, and ensure we were ready to receive and treat patients. It was a coordinated, team-driven effort from the start.”
