A new mural titled “Eagletown” by Indigenous artist Richard “Rik” Yannott was unveiled on the Boardman Lake Loop Trail Tuesday.

The vibrant art work, which is prominently displayed on the GT Profile Building near the Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) University Center trail access, is dedicated to Rik’s grandparents, the late Catherine Baldwin and George Yannott Sr., and celebrates the history, resilience, and natural beauty of the region.
