After a late sow, farmers are finally able to harvest their sweet corn.
With temperatures slow to warm up this year, it caused a delay in the sweet corn harvest because the farmers had to plant later than planned.
“Everything turned out pretty good,” said Ryan Noonan, owner of Buzzy’s Produce. “It was a cold spring, it didn’t really start doing much until it warmed up in June, but we’ve had plenty of warm weather and rain so it moved along a lot faster.”
