The Empire Lions Club annual garage sale and auction was its usual success and many good deals were enjoyed.
Speaking of the Lions Club, the last winner of the “Lucky 13” was Kendal Awiszus from Jacksonville, Florida.
Looking forward to the 43rd Cedar Polka Fest, beginning on Thursday, Aug. 21. Always a cast of thousands, I was told they usually have about 10,000 folks eating and dancing for four days, but really busy.
