Support the OAB

To the editor:

I have been associated with the Old Art Building in Leland since the mid 1990s – as an artist, volunteer, board member, staff member, and now a volunteer again. I’ve worked with national and international nonprofits and have never met a harder working staff, a more involved Board, or a more engaged group of volunteers who continue to raise their hands to help the OAB.

Over the past decade, the organization has seen tremendous growth in response to the community asking for more: more art shows, music, kids’ classes, family events, holiday lights, and on and on. Each one of these ‘mores’ only happened after deep due diligence by the staff and board, weighing the pros and the cons.
