“It’s all about the fishing and the camaraderie,” Benzie Fishing Frenzie Director Steve Joslin said. “This is an awesome event for the community and prime fishing.”
This is the second-largest fishing tournament on the Lake Michigan Tournament Trail at one of the best fishing areas in the state of Michigan.
This year’s tournament is expecting over 30 pro boats and over 60 amateur boats as of today.
Joslin loves nothing more than hearing hundreds of boats humming away in every direction when he makes the go-ahead announcement Saturday and Sunday during the PROAM tournament.
“Our goal is to bring as many people to the town and to help the local businesses and help them out.”
Last year, the tournament donated 4-5-000 pounds of fish to local food pantries.
Joslin thanks the City of Frankfort and its municipal services for working with the tournament for all of these years to put on a successful fishing event.
