M-22 shoulder resurfacing starts Monday

Traffic on M-22 south of Suttons Bay to Lakeview hills Road in Bingham Township, nearly to Traverse City, will commence as the Michigan Department of Transportation will resurface paved shoulder on nearly nine miles of road August 25 through October 3.

This work will require traffic shifts from Cedar Street in Suttons Bay to Lakeview Hills Road in Bingham township with traffic regulators and cost $1.9 million.

The resurfacing will provide a smooth, safe shoulder surface for pedestrians and bicyclists, as well as for drivers of vehicles who need to pull off of the roadway.
