This is how trust in local government gets broken.
Following their closed-door fourth month review, a released appraisal report revealed commissioner documented multiple concerns about Administrator Jim Dyer’s performance. Yet in public session they voted unanimously for “full confident,” praised him, and handed him new goals reading like a newhire handbook: share information, let commissioners decide, follow the chain of command. Not one corrective measure for his unilateral decisions, conflicts of interest,time lost to outside activities, or poor communication. Nothing that changes behavior.
