Leland Public School will begin the new school year next week with a feather in their cap.

The high school has been recognized as the #8 high school in the state of Michigan in the 2025–26 U.S. News & World Report rankings of the Best High Schools.

“This recognition is a testament to the commitment of our educators, staff, and families who work tirelessly to provide an exceptional learning environment for our students,” said Ryan Huppert, superintendent of Leland Public School. “At Leland, we strive to ensure every student is known, challenged, and supported—and this ranking reflects the success of that collective effort.”
