To the editor:
A few members and supporters of Saving Birds Thru Habitat already know that I have retired from my position as Executive Director. As I make my announcement more broadly, I want to thank all of you who have provided generous financial support, office assistance and efforts for projects on the grounds. Most of all, I want to express my deep appreciation for the 50 or so volunteers who worked on the “barn raising” for our Habitat Discovery Center years ago — as well as the three men who spent additional days finishing the work: my late husband, Jim Charter and his lifelong friends Marlin Bussey and Ralph Kalchik.
Thanks also to those early Board Members, especially the first two presidents: Marlin Bussey and Gina Erb who set us on our path to the success we have enjoyed.
