Glen Lake opened their season on the road against Traverse City St. Francis, a match-up that hasn’t been played since before COVID-19, but there was no lost feelings with St. Francis winning 30-6.
“They are a great program, they lived up to the hype,” said Glen Lake coach Jesse Smith. “I always say when it comes to the game, we win, it’s my guys did their job, we lose it’s on me.”
After two opening drives that didn’t create much offense, St. Francis started driving down the field late in the first quarter. This drive was stopped when a pass was thrown into the end zone and intercepted by Glen Lake senior, Fletcher Middleton.
